Alpher Aspiras

Hello,

I am a Ph.D. student in the Joint Doctoral Program in Cell and Molecular Biology at San Diego State University/UC San Diego. I graduated from SDSU in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Cellular and Molecular Biology. I am a member of the Blanco-Suárez Lab, where we study how astrocytes regulate brain plasticity, contribute to neuroprotection, and support recovery after stroke.
